I'm Nikki, mother of two wonderful boys & a Yoga Inspired soul.
I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years, along the way, I have learnt that yoga moves into your life in all kinds of wonderful & supportive ways. I’m not naturally uber flexible, so I know how it feels to have to work at a pose but I also know first-hand how my regular practice lifts my mood & ripples out into my life as a whole.
My special area of interest is connecting movement to the breath, and evoking a joyful playful, inquisitive environment for learning and practicing. In my teaching, I draw on my regular Iyenger practice to awaken a keen sense of alignment in postures whilst encouraging my students to identify with the softness and inner spaciousness of the body & breath.
With my background in teaching in Further Education colleges, I look to engage student at a level that best meets with their individual need. Having trained with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2014 (500 hours), I more recently qualified as a Foundation Course Tutor for the BWY & am loving sharing a greater depth of yoga knowledge with budding yoga enthusiasts.
In addition to yoga, I am a qualified Reiki practitioner & love the opportunity to work one to one with clients to recalibrate their energy for optimum health & wellbeing in body, mind & spirit.
